Mindful Therapy for Anxiety

I offer talk therapy for anxiety drawing from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach.  ACT is a mindfulness-based behavioral therapy. We will explore the following themes in sessions:

  • A new way of thinking about and relating to anxiety
  • Ways to cultivate a meaningful and satisfying life
  • Mindfulness and mind-body practices to foster well-being and vitality
  • How to identify and move toward valued life directions and goals

This treatment program includes weekly or biweekly counseling sessions, weekly handouts, out-of-session practice assignments and mindfulness exercises. A typical treatment course is 5-12 sessions.
