There are a number of benefits to participating in therapy, including having a supportive, non-judgmental space to share thoughts and feelings and learn new coping skills. We will identify your goals in the first session and talk about ways you can reach your goals via therapy.
The consultation call is a time for you to ask me questions about therapy or what it is like to work with me. I also like to learn more about what you are looking for to make sure my practice is a good fit. I usually ask some basic screening questions as well.
Most sessions are 50 minutes. Occasionally we will meet for a longer or shorter session and we will agree to this in advance.
You can pay using a debit or credit card. I use Stripe which is an online credit card processing service. You may choose to keep a card on file for your convenience.
We will schedule our appointments via email or phone at a time that works for both of us. We will discuss scheduling in the first call or session and for returning clients online scheduling may be an option.
Session costs range from $80 to $150 and depends on the length of the session.
Online therapy is like meeting in an office except we will meet either via phone or by video chat using a secure, HIPPA compliant platform. There is no special software or extra cost to use the video software. I will send you a link to my online waiting room prior to our first session.
Many clients find that online counseling offers convenience, comfort, privacy and increased flexibility. Online sessions may be ideal for clients who travel frequently, have limited time to travel to and from appointments, and live in more rural areas.
Due to state licensing laws I am only able to see clients residing in Tennessee or in some cases I can see clients living abroad. If you live abroad, please contact me to see if we can work together.
